[1] The editor of the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung was Heinrich Karl Abraham Eichstädt, who likely either sent this letter himself or had it sent.

Although specifics cannot be ascertained concerning this missive, Schelling had already sent several reviews to the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung, probably all by Caroline (see Fuhrmans 3:282n1). See in general the section on Caroline’s literary reviews, volume 2 and the specific section on the reviews for the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung). The archives of the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung note reception of a response from Schelling on 3 February 1806 (see Karl Bulling, Die Recensenten der Jenaischen Literatur-Zeitung im ersten Jahrzehnt ihres Bestehens. 1804–1813 (Weimar 1962), 107, 108, 109).

The next review by Caroline and Schelling appeared in the Jenaische Allgemeine Literatur-Zeitung (1806) 35 (11 February 1806), 273–80.
