Chateau Dieskau
Contemporary (2015) views of the chateau at Dieskau outside Halle, which Auguste visited during the autumn of 1799 on her way to spend time in Dessau (farther north) with the family of the portraitist Johann Friedrich August Tischbein, his wife, Sophie, and their two daughters, Caroline and Betty. The Tischbeins had in their own turn just spent time with Wilhelm Schlegel, Caroline, and Auguste in Jena. Auguste seems to have dined in Dieskau with the family of Carl Christoph von Hoffmann.
